It is not necessary that clients have previous snowmobiling experience prior to participating in one of our tours. Riding a snowmobile, as a general rule is more challenging than driving a car because it requires coordinated physical input such as leaning and moving on the seat to assist the snowmobile in turning. Drivers need to be prepared to heed the advice of their guide and use their body to be actively involved with the steering and driving of the snowmobile for proper operation.
Dress in warm layers, wool sox, hats and gloves, and bring a camera, sunglasses, and a sense of adventure. We have outerwear including snow bibs, jackets, boots and helmets. Please provide sizing info when booking online to supplement your outdoor gear requirements. Whatever you do not have we can provide at no additional cost such as boots, snowsuits, gloves, neck-warmers, helmets, goggles etc. We will suit up at our office in Palmer. Before you leave we will check to be sure you have everything you need for a warm and comfortable trip!
Our snowmobiles are within 2 years of current year models and mostly 600cc 4 strokes, expeditions and touring models and 2 stroke back country cross country models for the more adventurous rider.
At the snowmobile trailhead, we will provide a 10 minute safety briefing and orientation to snowmobiling. Topics covered will be proper operation of the snowmobile, general safety information, what to expect while on the tour route, procedures for possible wildlife encounters, and information on proper snowmobile riding techniques. Snowmobiling is inherently dangerous, participants are required to sign a Release of Liability and Indemnity Form.
†Clients are financially responsible for physical damage they may cause to the snowmobile due to careless or negligent operation.
