This full-day tour is not just any ordinary adventure; it is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that will leave you in awe of the beauty and wonder of the natural world.
As we traverse a glacier feed river that meanders through a glacier-carved valley, you will have the opportunity to witness a whole host of wildlife in their natural habitat. From salmon swimming beneath your kayak as they make their way to their spawning grounds, to ducks and eagles soaring overhead, and even the chance to spot a moose enjoying a meal in the water.
The journey begins with a paddle across Jim Lake, followed by a short overland portage into Jim Creek. As you navigate the river's meandering course, you will be surrounded by the sights and sounds of the Alaskan wilderness. The highlight of the tour is reaching the beach of the Knik River, with the impressive Knik Glacier as a breathtaking backdrop. This glacier is the largest in South central Alaska, and the headwaters of the Knik River.
From there, we will continue downriver to the mouth of the Knik arm of the Cook Inlet, where you can take in sweeping views of the surrounding landscape. This tour offers a unique perspective of the Alaskan wilderness, allowing you to truly connect with nature in a way that few other experiences can provide.
So why wait? Join us on this unforgettable adventure and immerse yourself in the beauty and wonder of the Alaskan wilderness. Be prepared to be amazed by the sights and sounds of the glacier feed river, as you paddle your way through a truly magical environment.
